A road map is used as a tool for navigating over the land it represents. Taken out of it’s context of application, a road map is an image of words connected by lines. In these drawings the words in the title are located on a U.S. road map where the city with the corresponding name is situated. The city name and the roads linking the cities are cut out of the map. The final image is a drawing that gives a decontextualized visual representation to a familiar association of terms.
